Issues of expanding the production of BYD electric vehicles in Uzbekistan have been agreed upon
An important meeting took place between the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, and Sao Shuang, the Managing Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus of BYD. Zamin.uz reports.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed in detail the further expansion of the joint venture established in the Jizzakh region and the elevation of the electric vehicle infrastructure in our country to an entirely new level. The sides agreed on major upcoming changes and strategic plans.

During the meeting, the initial results of the project to produce electric and hybrid vehicles under the BYD brand in Uzbekistan were reviewed. Special attention was given to the establishment of a network of fast-charging stations across the republic to create convenient conditions for customers and systematically develop the sector.

Furthermore, improving production processes based on international standards and significantly increasing the export volume of finished products were identified as priority tasks. BYD plans to implement not only the assembly of finished cars in Uzbekistan but also projects for the localization of high-tech components.

One of the most significant updates is that the production of Blade batteries, recognized worldwide for being extremely safe and durable, as well as modern electric buses for public transport, will be launched in our country. This will serve as a true technological renewal in the country's automotive industry.

Additionally, it is envisioned to strengthen the company's position in foreign markets by increasing the localization level of spare parts production and improving the quality of engineering and service services. It is worth noting that BYD, founded in 1995, is currently considered one of the world's leading giants in the production of vehicles powered by new energy sources.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, both parties expressed their readiness to ensure the successful continuation and sustainable development of this large-scale project launched in Uzbekistan. Agreements to further strengthen long-term cooperation will serve as an important step in ensuring the economic and ecological stability of our country.
