Uzbekistan traded with 185 countries in five months

According to data for the first five months of 2026, Uzbekistan has successfully established foreign trade relations with 185 countries worldwide. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The latest figures from the National Statistics Agency confirm that the geographical scope of our country's economic ties continues to expand. In the foreign trade turnover, traditional partners such as China and Russia maintain a significant lead.
At the same time, the list of key partners includes countries such as France, Germany, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates, which have firmly secured their positions. In particular, the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and China in January–May of this year amounted to $7.7 billion.
This figure allows China to retain its status as Uzbekistan's largest economic partner. The Russian Federation ranks second, with mutual trade turnover reaching $5.8 billion.
Among regional partners, Kazakhstan took third place, with trade turnover between the two fraternal states increasing to $2.3 billion during the reporting period.
Trade activities with Turkey and Afghanistan also showed high results. Turkey secured fourth place with an indicator of $1.2 billion, while trade volume with Afghanistan amounted to $915.8 million.
These figures once again confirm that Afghanistan remains one of Uzbekistan's important regional markets. Additionally, activity among European countries showed growth, particularly for France.
Trade turnover with France reached $771.9 million, allowing this country to surpass South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. The list of countries that have entered the top ten in foreign trade turnover is as follows.
China, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkey are followed by Afghanistan, France, the Republic of Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and Kyrgyzstan. In particular, trade turnover with Germany amounted to $501.9 million, and with Kyrgyzstan to $469 million.
These figures indicate that Uzbekistan's foreign economic policy is becoming more diversified and balanced. Statistical analysis shows that Uzbekistan's position in the global market is strengthening.
Foreign trade is developing dynamically not only with neighboring countries but also with developed states in Europe and Asia. Although China and Russia still account for a large share of total trade turnover, cooperation with new markets such as France and the United Arab Emirates is growing at a rapid pace.
In the future, further expansion of trade relations with these countries is expected.
