The volume of transport services in Uzbekistan increased to 85 trillion soums in five months

The transport services sector in Uzbekistan's economy continues to show dynamic development. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the latest data, the total volume of transport services provided in the country during the first five months of 2026 amounted to 85.3 trillion soums. This indicator was announced as a result of analyses conducted by the Statistics Agency.
The specified figures indicate that the sector's share in the country's gross domestic product is gradually increasing. When examining the overall structure of transport services, it became clear that the largest share belongs to road transport in the traditional sense.
Specifically, 52.1 percent of all services provided were carried out via road transport. This situation is explained by the improvement of road infrastructure and the convenience of automobile transport for the population and entrepreneurs.
The next positions in the sector are held by auxiliary transport activities and air transport. Auxiliary services accounted for 15.2 percent of the total volume, while the aviation sector recorded a share of 13.8 percent.
Furthermore, rail transport accounted for 10 percent, and pipeline transport for 8.9 percent. These figures indicate that the system for transporting goods and passengers in the country is developing proportionally across various directions.
In conclusion, it can be said that the transport system demonstrated stable growth rates from January to May of the current year. The leading position of road transport highlights the main changes occurring in the sector.
In the future, it is planned to further improve service quality and achieve economic efficiency by modernizing other types of transport as well.
