The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that nearly a thousand people have been placed in institutions in the city of Angren due to the situation in the valley pass.
Heating facilities have been organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations for passengers stranded in unfavorable conditions at the “Qamchiq” pass. According to meteorologists, the temperature in the pass has dropped to -8 degrees, and snowfall continues.
By the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, the first deputy minister is coordinating the process on-site.
Additionally, 790 men, 130 women, and 38 children have been temporarily accommodated in 19 canteens and 4 hotels located in the city of Angren.
On March 7, starting from “18:00”, a risk of snow avalanches was announced in the area of the A-373 “Tashkent – Osh” highway at the “Qamchiq” pass (between 228-253 km).
