The level of continuous provision of patients suffering from hematological and oncology hematological diseases in Uzbekistan with medications may reach 80 percent. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This is noted in the draft presidential decree, and the public discussion of the project will continue until August 19. The document outlines the main objectives for the development of medical care for the years 2025–2030.
The main objectives include the following. The level of early disease detection will be increased to 60 percent, and the diagnostic period will be reduced to 6 days.
The coverage of specialized medical care will be increased to 100 percent, and treatment will begin within 10–14 days after diagnosis. The five-year survival rate of patients is expected to increase to 55 percent, and the one-year survival rate is expected to rise from 34 percent to 60 percent.
As a result of the establishment of a cell bank, the period for transplanting hematopoietic bone marrow cells will be reduced from six months to three months after diagnosis. Additionally, a blood bank will be created, allowing for the provision of necessary blood components to patients within one day.
It is worth noting that previously, the health ministries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan had reached an agreement to create an academic center in the field of pediatric oncology.
