
On the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the capital's administration has announced a detailed plan for organizing holiday events. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to the press service of the administration, on August 30 and 31, mass fairs and concert programs intended for residents and guests will be held in all twelve districts of Tashkent city. The holiday events will begin in the Yunusabad district on the afternoon of August 30.
The "Uzexpocentr" area has been chosen as the main venue. Various themed zones will be opened here for guests, with performances by artists and entertainment programs presented.
The main part of the celebration will take place in the evening. Starting from 18:00, fairs will begin in several districts.
Events will be held in the "Coca Cola Garden" park in Bektemir district, Furqat park in Mirabad district, the central boulevard in Sergeli district, the "River Park" area in Olmazor district, the "ECO SEUL" park in Uchtepa district, and the renovated "Dream Park" in Chilonzor district. In Shaykhontohur district, the main venue will be "Navro‘z" park, and in Yangihayot district, a holiday area will be organized in the "Yangi Darkhan" neighborhood, especially in front of houses 45-46.
At 19:00, the holiday program will continue in three more districts – Mirzo Ulug‘bek, Yashnobod, and Yakkasaroy. The main venues will be "Central Park" in Mirzo Ulug‘bek, "Ashxobod" park in Yashnobod, and "Dustlik" park in Yakkasaroy.
Music and dance groups, as well as performances by Uzbek pop stars, are planned at all venues. The event program is designed to be interesting and colorful for audiences of all ages, aiming to create a festive atmosphere.
Due to the holding of mass events, law enforcement agencies in the capital will operate in an enhanced mode to ensure public order and guarantee the safety of citizens. The Declaration of Independence of Uzbekistan was adopted on August 31, 1991, at an extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of the Uzbek SSR held in Tashkent.
The following day, September 1, is officially designated as Independence Day, a national holiday.
