On March 27, a young man died while cleaning a gasoline tank in the Shovot district of Khorezm region, as reported by Nova24.uz.
The incident occurred at one of the fuel filling stations in the district. An employee of the station asked a friend to clean the inside of a 10-ton tank, stating that the payment would be made later. After that, the citizen went to the fuel station with his son (born in 2004).
During the cleaning process, the 19-year-old young man fell into the tank. However, he lost consciousness due to the fumes from the remaining gasoline. Seeing this, his father went down to rescue him but also began to lose consciousness.
At that moment, the man's brother arrived to help and pulled him out by his clothes. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save the young man, and he passed away.
It was revealed that the man and his son had cleaned the tanks at this fuel station four times before and received 100,000 to 150,000 soums each time.
