There was an unexpected "cargo" in the Lacetti's trunk — 360 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices.
Devices without documents
On April 11 at around 05:30, a Lacetti car traveling on the Vodi—Tashkent route was stopped while passing the "Namangan" traffic police post.
The driver, A.M., was born in 1994. During the inspection, it was found that there were a total of 360 new iPhone 16 Pro Max devices in the cabin and trunk.
Interestingly, there were no documents related to these devices.
Suspicion of fraud
The situation was formalized, and the devices along with the driver A.M. were handed over to the Pop district department of the Namangan region's investigative committee for further investigation.
This is not just an isolated incident — in recent months, violations related to Apple devices have been increasing.
As a reminder, in October 2024, the illegal importation of iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones worth 900 million soums was prevented in Fergana.
