Human beings can unknowingly commit a crime or make a mistake. However, if they repeatedly commit crimes, they cannot be justified in any way. The next hero of the "Nadomat" project is 36 years old and has been held in a correctional facility for 19 years. His youth was spent behind bars.
The convict is 37 years old. He committed a murder at the age of 17. He was pardoned and released in 2009. However, in the same year, he committed a second murder. In 2009, he was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment. Without drawing the appropriate conclusions from his crimes, he escaped from the correctional facility in 2016. During his 11 months of being on the run, he stole $105,000 from a foreign citizen.
— We have three children in the family, and my mother raised us alone. I committed my first crime at the age of 17. At that time, my accomplice and I beat up a boy, and unfortunately, he died from the injuries he sustained.
We have three sons in the family, and my mother always told us that we needed to study. However, my inclination towards conflict and fighting led me into many problems. I was sentenced to 13 years, while my criminal accomplice received 11 years. At that time, I was only 17 years old, so I was pardoned. I was released in 2009, but in the same year, I had a serious altercation with a person and inflicted serious injuries on him with a sickle. He also died, and I was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment for my crime.
I was released to the designated colony in 2016. There, I was taken out for cotton picking. Unfortunately, thinking briefly, I escaped from there and hid for 11 months. Even when I heard the siren in the neighboring neighborhood, my heart would race. Living on the run is not easy; due to financial difficulties, I committed a burglary in one of the houses in the Keles district of Tashkent region. I did not know the homeowners beforehand, and I did not have a criminal accomplice. I broke into the house at midnight and stole $105,000. I used $5,000 for my needs while hiding. However, a person who commits a crime will eventually be caught; I was apprehended and returned to the correctional facility. Additionally, I was tried again under Article 169 for my last crime.
Thinking about it, I have spent my life in the zone and designated colony since I was 17. I have never truly experienced the joys of youth; I have not been able to start a family or have even one child by this age. I have lost a lot.
I often remember the people I killed; they were just like us. I still can't sleep at night; my eyes don't close until 2 or 3 AM. They seem to walk right beside me, says the convict.
