Valeriy Masalitin, a former football player who previously played for CSKA, shared his thoughts on the debut of Valeriy Karpin as the head coach of the capital's Dinamo team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
On Friday, in the first round of the Russian Premier League, Dinamo played a 1:1 draw against Baltika at home. This was Karpin's first official game managing the capital team.
The expert noted that the team is still far from the level shown under Karpin at Rostov, and some of the coach's ideas have not been fully implemented on the field. According to Masalitin, as usual, some problems arose in the first attempt.
He emphasized that it is not yet possible to see the aggressive style of play and pressing from the Dinamo team. This style was preferred by Karpin at Rostov.
Currently, the team is in the process of formation, and the players are adapting to new tactics. Masalitin also mentioned that a reconstruction process is underway at Dinamo and advised fans to be patient.
Time is needed to fully implement the new coach's ideas. Once this process is completed, there is hope for an improvement in the team's performance.
