Zenit midfielder Vendel is negotiating a contract with Brazil's Flamengo club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
So far, the details of the negotiations have not been disclosed, but the possibility of an agreement is being confirmed. Vendel recently joined the Zenit team after a trip to his homeland and has therefore been almost sidelined from the team's pre-season preparations.
In an interview, Zenit head coach Sergey Semak stated that the club is looking for new opportunities for the Brazilian player. In the 2024/25 season, the 27-year-old midfielder played 27 matches for Zenit, scoring 2 goals and providing 13 assists.
He is considered one of the team's most creative players. The current contract between Vendel and Zenit is set to last until the summer of 2028.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at 18 million euros.
