The St. Petersburg club "Zenit" has registered midfielder Markus Vendel for the 2025/26 season of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

However, the contract signed in January was canceled due to the financial problems of the Brazilian club. Vendel did not want to return to Russia and did not participate in the pre-season training sessions.
