Reports have emerged in the media about Xavi potentially becoming the head coach of the Indian national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

However, renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano denied this information. Xavi announced on his social media pages that no negotiations have been held with the Indian Football Federation.

Previous reports indicated that Xavi's name was used to attract candidates for the position of head coach of the national team in India. The 45-year-old specialist has been away from coaching for quite some time, specifically for more than a year.

He is set to leave Barcelona at the end of the 2024/2025 season, handing over his position to Hans-Dieter Flick. It has now been confirmed that Xavi is not currently engaged in official negotiations to manage a new team.
