Mostovoy: Vendel will be needed by "Spartak"

During the summer season, the legionnaire and midfielder Vendel may leave the "Zenit" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Aleksandr Mostovoy, the Brazilian player is likely to be beneficial for the "Spartak" team. The Moscow club is currently looking for a player to strengthen the midfield.

Mostovoy states that Vendel would be useful for any team in the Russian Premier League, but due to limited financial capabilities, only a few clubs can afford to buy him. Previously, a planned transfer from "Zenit" to "Botafogo" did not materialize.

This agreement was supposed to be formalized at the beginning of summer. Transfermarkt experts value the 27-year-old Vendel at 18 million euros.

The Brazilian player's current contract is tied to "Zenit" until the middle of 2028.
