Igor Kolyvanov, a former player of the Russian national team, commented on the defeat of "Spartak" in the home match against "Baltika" (0:3) held in the second round of the Russian first league. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The specialist noted that from the very beginning of the game, the situation was complicated for the "red-whites," especially after Anton Zabolotny left the field early in the 10th minute. According to Kolyvanov, head coach Deyan Stankovich overestimated the team's chances after the victory in the first round and did not prepare a clear tactic for playing in a deficit.
He also emphasized that no one expected "Spartak" to have fewer than ten players on the field in the 10th minute. Stankovich had believed that the team would defeat "Baltika" after the first game.
In the second half, the team gradually weakened, and the situation became clear with the second player leaving the field. After Marquinhos left the field, "Spartak" was reduced to nine players and struggled to resist.
In the third round, the "red-whites" will play away against "Akron"
