Iranian air defense struck a US F-35 fighter jet

According to state media in Iran, citing information from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, an American F-35 fighter jet may have been conducting a mission over Iranian airspace on March 19. Zamin.uz reported this news.
Reports indicate that Iran's air defense system struck the aircraft at that time. While Iranian officials have confirmed that the jet was damaged, specific details regarding its technical condition and the extent of the damage have not yet been released.
For his part, Tim Hawkins, spokesperson for the US Central Command, confirmed that the aircraft made an emergency landing after completing its mission. According to sources from CNN, which was the first to report on the incident, Hawkins stated that the aircraft landed safely and the pilot's condition is stable.
However, the primary reasons leading to the emergency landing have not yet been clearly explained. This incident is one of the recent events involving US military aviation in the Middle East.
At the beginning of March, several American fighter jets crashed over Kuwaiti airspace. US officials then announced that three F-15E aircraft were mistakenly shot down by Kuwait's air defense system, while the six crew members safely ejected via catapult.
Subsequently, The Wall Street Journal reported based on its sources that one of the F-15E aircraft may have been shot down by a Kuwaiti fighter jet. The new incident involving the F-35 is expected to once again draw attention to the coordination of air defense systems in the region and the specifics of military operations.
