In an interview with Metaratings, Popov stated that no one overestimates themselves and openly rushes against the Rubin team. He emphasized that it is a very good start for Rubin and expressed hope that Rahimov is developing the team and improving his work.

It should be noted that Rashid Rahimov has been the head coach of Kazan's Rubin team for over two years. Last season, under his leadership, the team finished in seventh place and managed to stay out of the playoff games.

Last weekend, Rubin faced St. Petersburg's Zenit team at the Ak Bars Arena stadium in Kazan, ending the match in a 2:2 draw. In this game, Rubin secured important points.
