"Neman" advanced to the next stage instead of a draw
“Neman” and “Koshitse” teams competed in the second qualifying round of the Conference League in their return match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In the first match, “Neman” won 3:2 away. At the beginning of the match, Daniel Magda received the ball in front of the goal and struck it towards the near post.
Defender Konstantin Kuchinskiy managed to block the ball, while the goalkeeper covered the corner. Later, Zien Jones directed a header from a cross on the left flank towards the goal, but the ball hit the post.
In the second half, the game was slow, but the situation intensified in the final minutes. Oleg Evdokimov lifted a corner kick from the left flank, and Maksim Kravtsov headed the ball towards the far corner, but it did not enter the net.
Due to the Slovak team’s carelessness on their home ground, Egor Zubovich made an accurate pass into the penalty area from the left flank. Oleg Evdokimov then sent a powerful and accurate header to open the scoring.
Shortly after, Mixal Domik received the ball in front of the goal and equalized the score. The match ended 1:1.
As a result, “Neman” advanced to the next stage. Now they will face either “Radnichki” or “Klaksvik”.
