Orlov: Vendel will not receive a salary like at "Zenit" in Brazil

Famous sports commentator Gennady Orlov shared his thoughts about Brazilian footballer Vendel, who is playing for St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Vendel recently returned to the field in the cup match against the "Akmat" team and helped his team. In the match, "Zenit" won 2:1.

According to Orlov, Vendel showed great effort in the game, and it was noticeable that he does not want to leave Russia. The commentator also emphasized that moving to the United Arab Emirates is not suitable for Vendel.

In Brazilian clubs, salaries are not paid as high as at "Zenit." Therefore, the player needs to make an independent decision regarding his future.

For information, this summer, Vendel was planned to move to Brazil's "Botafogo" club. However, the "Botafogo" club faced financial problems, and the transfer did not take place.

Currently, the 27-year-old midfielder's contract with "Zenit" is valid until 2028.
