
The goalkeeper of the "Krylya Sovetov" football club from Samara region, Sergey Pesyakov, expressed his opinion about the likelihood of returning to the Russian national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Pesyakov stated that he no longer believes he will play for the Russian national team again. The 36-year-old footballer said: "I think there is no need to dream about the Russian national team anymore," he said in an interview with the "RB Sport" information portal.
Sergey Pesyakov previously played in two matches for the Russian national team. In these games, he did not concede any goals.
Pesyakov was last called up to the national team in March 2023. According to reports, the Russian national team will hold its next friendly match soon.
This match will take place on September 4. The opponent of the Russian team, led by Valeriy Karpin, will be the Jordan national team.
