For reference, Everton has utilized its historic Goodison Park stadium for over a hundred years. The last season the club was the English champion was in 1987.

At that time, the English Premier League had not yet been established, as it began operations in 1992. The new English championship season will kick off on August 15.

Currently, the club considered the national champion is Liverpool, Everton's fierce rival. Additionally, the move of the Everton team to the new stadium is one of the significant changes for the club, allowing them to host games in modern conditions.
