Former football player Vladimir Bystrov, who played for “Zenit” and Moscow’s “Spartak,” expressed his opinion on the results of “Spartak” under the leadership of Dejan Stankovich. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Currently, “Spartak” has won only once after four rounds of the Russian championship and is in eleventh place in the tournament table. According to Vladimir Bystrov, such a coach should not work at “Spartak.”
He emphasized that the coach must be determined, able to take responsibility, and serve as a role model for the players with his strength. The specialist noted that the coach should not show any weakness in front of the team, and it is important for the players not to doubt their coaches.
Bystrov accused the Serbian specialist of trying to focus more on appearances and showing off in front of the public. He cited Stankovich's frequent disputes with referees and his comments in the press about referees taking points away from the team as examples.
Earlier, there were reports that the “Spartak” management was considering the issue of Stankovich's dismissal, and another Serbian specialist, Vladimir Ivich, who had worked at “Krasnodar,” was seen as the main candidate to replace him.
