Dmitriev: Many opportunities needed to be realized

Igor Dmitriev, the midfielder of the "Spartak" team, shared his thoughts about the match against "Zenit" on the "Match TV" channel. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, the game went well, there were many events, and it was interesting for the fans. Unfortunately, many opportunities were not utilized, especially since we played with the majority of the time and did not score a goal.

However, the opponent "Zenit" successfully converted one opportunity. During the game, we made many attacks and took many shots, but goalkeeper Adamov saved many of them.

Dmitriev spoke about the task he was given on the field: the main objective was to invigorate the attacks and develop forward plays. According to him, the "Spartak" team lost the victory because they played with the majority of the time and dominated the game.

He said that he initially did not understand the reason for the disallowed goal and that the conditions on the field were difficult. Although the initial results put pressure on the team, Dmitriev believes that good football was shown in the match against "Lokomotiv".

However, the result is still not satisfactory. He emphasized that the quality of the game is not always related to winning and said that the team still needs to put in more effort.

In response to the question about who decides when to substitute Marquinhos, he stated that this matter is not under his responsibility. Overall, despite the difficulties, the team is trying to fulfill its duties, and better results can be expected in upcoming matches.
