An extraordinary event took place in England. Euro-football.ru reported on this.
A 50-year-old man, who had held a senior position at the "McDonald's" company during his life, was arrested for consistently presenting himself as someone else. He did this for his own benefit.
In particular, the fraud caused harm to Riyad Mahrez, a former player of the "Manchester City" team and one of the key players of the remarkable 2016 champion "Leicester" team. The fraudster used the resemblance to Mahrez to buy tickets to pop stars' concerts in his name.
Perhaps he had planned other, less harmless violations as well, but he was unable to do so because he was quickly caught. This was reported by the "Liberation" publication.
The incident was not taken lightly. After learning about the situation, Mahrez demanded compensation of five thousand euros for material damage.
This amount was requested to cover his moral damages. This case highlights the serious consequences of fraud and misuse of personal data.
Furthermore, any fraud is strictly punished under the law.
