Manchester United to sign midfielder in winter transfer

Manchester United will try to strengthen their midfield this January. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to reliable source Fabrizio Romano, the "Red Devils" management intends to purchase a new midfielder during the winter transfer window. Currently, it is unclear how much the club is willing to spend.

Possibly, the Manchester team may reconsider the 21-year-old Cameroonian player Carlos Baleba, but the process is complicated as Brighton club is not very willing to sell him. Although Manchester United spent over 250 million euros last summer, they did not take any definite steps to strengthen the midfield.

Currently, the team under the management of Rubyen Amorim is in ninth place in the league table after the first three rounds of the English championship. This indicates the necessity to resolve problems in the midfield.

The club management is striving to fill this gap in January.
