The leadership of European football aims to simplify the rules regarding ownership of multiple clubs by a single person or company. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This decision is aimed at resolving issues that recently arose following a conflict involving the Crystal Palace club. According to The Guardian, UEFA plans to allocate more time to address potential problems related to clubs owning multiple teams.
It is reported that the deadline for submitting information remains March 1, but clubs will be given the opportunity to correct the situation until June. As a result, during the season, Nottingham Forest was included in the list of Europa League participants instead of Crystal Palace.
As a consequence of this situation, Crystal Palace suffered financial losses amounting to approximately 22 million euros. The leadership of European football is striving to make the rules clearer and more understandable in order to prevent such inconveniences in the future and to ensure fair competitions.
