Cherchesov: Work at Akhmat resembles weightlifting

The head coach of Grozny's "Ahmat" team, Stanislav Cherchesov, compared the work at the club to weightlifting. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, he took over the team in a difficult situation because promises are always fulfilled in Grozny. Currently, "Ahmat" does not have specific competitive objectives.

Cherchesov emphasized that in weightlifting, if an athlete cannot lift the initial weight, they are out of the competition. Similarly, the team must first consolidate its position, then gradually strengthen and achieve new results.

After the 11th round of the Russian Premier League, "Ahmat" is in ninth place in the standings with 15 points. In the 12th round, on October 19, the Grozny team will play an away match against Moscow's "Dinamo".
