Asror Aliqulov: «There is a lack of confidence in our team, but we are not afraid of our opponents»
After the match between "Mash'al" and "Qizilqum" (2:2) in the 9th round of the Uzbekistan Super League, the host coach Asror Aliqulov participated in the post-match press conference and answered journalists' questions in detail.

— What are your thoughts on the match?
— We started today's match very well. We had analyzed the playing style of the "Qizilqum" team and the presence of tall players in their squad beforehand. We compared our team's capabilities with theirs. We played well in the initial minutes and even managed to score a goal. However, we made some careless mistakes at the beginning of the second half. Due to serious errors in our defense line, we conceded a goal. We played until the end without giving up and equalized the score. I think today's draw is not a bad result.

— You have previously worked with the "Qizilqum" team. Did this create difficulties in studying your opponent?
— I didn't think about that. The current squad of "Qizilqum" is strong and has changed significantly since the time I knew it. Overall, the opponent had more physical advantage and superiority in one-on-one situations.

— Today, Murtozayev and Mashovich each scored two goals. In your opinion, which of them is stronger?
— Of course, I consider my player to be stronger (laughs). Mashovich is physically strong, active on the field, and plays aggressively. He has found good form in recent matches and is performing effectively.

— Your team has scored 6 goals in 9 matches. Is this insufficient for you?
— It's true that we have conceded many goals. However, I acknowledge that we need to increase our scoring. I talked about this in the dressing room as well. A dense and organized game is one of the main requirements of the current Super League.

— Has "Mash'al" fully adapted to the Super League after moving up from the Pro League?
— We have had some unfortunate matches. But we are not afraid to step onto the field against our opponents. We are lacking a bit of confidence. Because some of our players are playing in the Super League for the first time this year.

— How are the physical indicators of the players monitored? How much distance do they cover in a match?
— This is under our constant monitoring. The player who covered the most distance had a result of 12 kilometers. Unfortunately, we have very few players with such indicators. The age of some players and other factors also need to be taken into account. Our player who runs the most, Javohir Abdualimov, was not included in the match roster today due to family reasons.

— "Mash'al" home matches are being held in Guzar. Will the next matches also continue here?
— This issue will be decided by the club management. I want to say that playing in Guzar is more convenient for us than in Olmaliq. In this matter, I would like to express special gratitude to the club management and "Shurtan" club. They are providing us with the conditions to hold matches here. However, I cannot provide specific information about where the next matches will take place. It depends on the decisions of the club management.
