The traditional Tata Steel Chess 2025 tournament is ongoing in the Netherlands. Two chess players from Uzbekistan are competing for victory.

Yesterday, on January 29, in the 10th round, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who is among the leaders of the Masters group, defeated Serbian Aleksey Saranani playing with white pieces. The chess player had not lost in the tournament until now. After this victory, Abdusattorov increased his points to 7 and is currently in second place in the tournament standings.

Indian Gukesh Dommaradju is at the top of the tournament standings. Despite being the reigning world champion and playing with black pieces, he outperformed Dutch Maks Varmerdam. Gukesh is leading with 7.5 points. Another Indian grandmaster, Rameshbabu Pragnanandha, also secured an important victory for himself in this round, defeating Slovenian Vladimir Fedoseyev and finishing with 6.5 points in the strong trio.
