FIFA introduced new water breaks for the World Cup

The International Football Federation has announced new regulations for the World Cup to be held in 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, special water breaks will be organized for players during each game. This innovation is set to be applied to all matches in the tournament.
According to the new rules, the game will be stopped for 3 minutes between each 45-minute half. This means that a total of two mandatory breaks will be announced during each match.
Interestingly, these pauses will be implemented by the main referee regardless of weather conditions or temperature. FIFA explained this decision as necessary to protect players' health and improve their physical condition.
Experts believe this step will help reduce players' fatigue levels and enhance the quality of the game. Additionally, these changes are expected to have a distinct impact on the pace of the game.
It is worth noting that the 2026 World Cup is expected to be one of the largest tournaments in football history. All national teams participating will need to adapt to these new rules.
Through this initiative, FIFA has once again demonstrated that it prioritizes athlete safety. Source: One.uz.
