Xabi Alonso has started changes at Real: a new forward and a former trainee may return to the club
Spanish coach Xabi Alonso, who is preparing to take over Madrid's Real club, has initiated plans to reshape the team. He has begun selecting players that fit his style of play. This was reported by COPE.

Xabi Alonso has set specific requirements to fill the gap in the attacking line. According to the specialist, the team needs a tall and physically strong forward similar to former Real striker Joselu. Such a player is required to be effective in the air, win battles for high balls, and score regularly.

It is worth noting that the 35-year-old Spanish forward Joselu defended the honor of the "Royal Club" during the 2023-2024 season, managing to score 19 goals in a total of 51 official matches. The experienced player is currently continuing his career in the Qatari championship.

Additionally, Xabi Alonso has also requested the club management to bring back former trainee of Madrid, Niko Pas. The young midfielder was transferred to Italy's Como club for 6 million euros a year ago.

Niko Pas showed himself well in his debut season in Italy's Serie A. He scored 6 goals in 33 matches and provided 9 assists to his teammates. As a result of his effective and consistent performances, the young player was recognized as one of the biggest discoveries in Serie A.

Xabi Alonso considers the inclusion of local trainees and experienced forwards to be of great importance in building the club's future. Experts note that Xabi Alonso could successfully shape his playing style in the team and lead the Madrid players to new trophies.

A clear decision on these transfers is expected to be made by the club management in the near future.
