The Iraq national team requested to postpone the World Cup qualifying match.

The head coach of the Iraq national team, Grem Arnold, has submitted an official request to FIFA to postpone the World Cup qualifying playoff match. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Due to the tense political situation in the Middle East and military operations within Iranian territory, Iraq's airspace has been completely closed until April 1. These factors have made it nearly impossible for the team to reach Mexico City and participate in the decisive match there.
The Iraq national team was scheduled to face either Suriname or Bolivia on March 31. However, according to the coach, significant difficulties have arisen regarding gathering players from the domestic championship and obtaining visas for them to travel abroad.
Even the head coach himself is unable to be with the team as he remains in the United Arab Emirates. Grem Arnold emphasized that if only a squad composed of players based abroad takes to the field, the team's overall strength and capabilities will significantly decrease.
He hopes that the international federation will delay the match, thereby giving the Iraq national team the opportunity to undergo full and proper preparation. The leadership of the Iraqi Football Federation is also making relentless efforts to resolve this situation with a positive outcome.
If FIFA decides to postpone the match, it will provide the Iraq national team with additional time to realize their forty-year-old dream. Currently, the entire football world is eagerly awaiting the official decision from FIFA's headquarters in Zurich.
If the team misses out on the tournament due to logistical issues, it will be a very tragic and heavy situation for the Iraqi people. This was reported by goal.com.
