"Al Nassr" star wants to leave the team: a high salary is not a reason to stay
The member of the French national team and former central defender of Manchester City, Emerick Laporte, has decided to leave the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. This was reported by TalkSPORT.

The 29-year-old player currently has a contract with Al-Nassr until 2026 and earns approximately £390,000 per week (260 million tenge). This makes him one of the three highest-paid defenders in the world. However, according to Laporte, he is ready to give up this money in search of a new team and environment.

Environment and relationships are the main reasons

The player's desire to leave the club is related to his dissatisfaction with the situation at Al-Nassr. Reports indicate that he has faced difficulties in his relationship with head coach Stefano Pioli. Additionally, his role in the team and its significance on the field are also not satisfying him.

Laporte has participated in 30 matches this season, scoring 5 goals. However, despite the presence of stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Jon Duran in the team, Laporte feels he is in the "background".

Ronaldo's presence is not enough to keep him

Interestingly, even the presence of a superstar like Cristiano Ronaldo in the team is not changing Laporte's decision. He emphasizes that personal mental state, environment, and professional development are of great importance in a player's career.

At the same time, Ronaldo himself is also contemplating the club's future. His contract with Al-Nassr has not yet been extended. If there are no changes in the coming weeks, the Portuguese star may become a free agent.

Where will Laporte play in the future?

There is currently no official information about Laporte's next destination. However, it is natural that European clubs, especially from the Spanish and English leagues, would be interested in him. His experience and technical ability are highly valued, and his dream of returning to a leading role in a team gives him the opportunity to be seen at a higher level.

Zamin.uz editorial team continues to monitor players' personal choices, situations off the field, and their future decisions. Which team would you like to see Laporte in next?
