Javohir Sindorov explained the reasons for the draw in the game with Nakamura

Talented Uzbek chess player Javohir Sindorov shared his thoughts on the outcome of the match against American grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura in the twelfth round of the Candidates Tournament. Zamin.uz reported this.
This encounter was noted as one of the shortest games in the history of the competition. The sides chose a certain variation of the Catalan opening and reached a draw in just thirty-five minutes.
Speaking at the press conference, Sindorov emphasized that his main goal in this game was to save strength and avoid unnecessary risks. According to the athlete, the previous round's game against Fabiano Caruana was very difficult, which affected his physical and mental state.
Javohir noted that he did not see sufficient reason to engage in a long and arduous struggle with Nakamura, and therefore avoided risky variations. In his opinion, his opponent also chose a cautious path, and the quick draw was acceptable for both sides.
According to One.uz, Sindorov is currently leading the tournament table with nine points. His closest pursuer, Anish Giri, has seven points.
With two rounds remaining until the end of the tournament, the difference between these two chess players is two points. In the next round, these two rivals will face each other.
A draw in this match could secure victory for Sindorov ahead of schedule. Javohir Sindorov stated that he is seriously preparing for the upcoming important game.
He said that he is using modern software to analyze Anish Giri's playing style and is ready for any situation. Based on the current state of the tournament table, he will determine his strategy.
The thirteenth round matches will begin at 17:45 Tashkent time. Sindorov will play with the black pieces in this encounter.
If our compatriot wins the championship in this tournament, he will earn the right to play Dommaraju Gukesh for the world champion title.
