Rafinya turned down offers from Chelsea and Arsenal for Barcelona

Barcelona's talented winger Rafinha about the details of his departure from English side Leeds United in 2022, as reported by Zamin.uz.
The Brazilian footballer revealed that he turned down offers from two major London clubs—Chelsea and Arsenal—to join the Catalan side, calling the decision one of the most correct and important of his professional career.
This was reported by Goal.com. In an interview with TNT Sports Brasil, the 27-year-old forward reflected on the transfer events of that period.
According to Rafinha, he received serious offers from London but chose to sign with Barcelona instead. At the time, Premier League giants were reportedly making strong efforts to bring him into their squads.
Despite the financial appeal of English clubs, Rafinha opted to follow in the footsteps of his legendary compatriots Ronaldinho and Neymar by joining the Spanish club. Since his arrival, he has become one of the team’s key players and has contributed significantly to their domestic success.
Despite various transfer rumors, the Brazilian has shown loyalty to the club loyalty to Barcelona. In the interview, Rafinha also answered a question about which modern footballer he would like to play alongside.
He named Harry Kane, the Bayern Munich striker, praising his vision and finishing ability, placing him among the elite and acknowledging that the English forward is nearly at genius level.
Currently, Barcelona’s management is working to further strengthen the squad. Sporting director Deco acknowledged that finding a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract is expiring, is no easy task, but the club’s extended shortlist includes talented players such as Chelsea’s Joao Pedro and Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.
The team aims to rejuvenate its attacking line in the future.
