Erling Haaland dissatisfied with refereeing in the match against England

Erling Haaland, one of the brightest stars of the football world, did not hide his frustration after the Norwegian national team's defeat against England in the World Cup quarterfinals. Zamin.uz reported on this.
In the match held at the stadium in Miami, the Norwegians missed their chance with a 2-2 draw and were forced to leave the tournament. However, after the game ended, the main focus shifted not to the result, but to a controversial decision by the referees.
Goal.com reports that a goal scored by Torbjørn Lysaker Heggem in the second half was disallowed following a VAR intervention.
The referees determined that Erling Haaland had committed a foul in a collision with Elliot Anderson, his future teammate at Manchester City, before the goal was scored. This specific situation became the turning point of the game and extinguished Norway's hopes for victory.
In an interview after the match, the twenty-five-year-old striker noted that he felt empty and distressed. According to Haaland, the struggle between him and Elliot Anderson was a normal game situation, and calling a foul in such instances is contrary to the nature of football.
The striker called the referees' decision extremely weak and baseless. "To be honest, I feel a void inside me right now," the footballer noted.
According to him, the team deserved more. Haaland does not believe there should have been a free kick in this situation.
He stated that he fought in every duel as he always does, and the goal was disallowed simply because the opponent fell. He added that if this is a foul, then the opponent should win a free kick in every game, as he is also constantly pushed and pulled.
Another member of the Norwegian national team, Sander Berge, also supported his teammate's views. According to him, refereeing standards on the international stage are becoming incomprehensible.
Berge stated that if such collisions were called as fouls in the English championship, dozens of penalties would have to be awarded in every round. Despite his team's exit from the tournament, Erling Haaland remains one of the best players of the World Cup in terms of personal statistics.
He managed to score seven goals during the competition and secured a place in the top three of the top scorers' race. Currently, only Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi, who have scored eight goals each, are ahead of him.
This defeat hit Norway very hard, as the team had been showcasing its best performances, defeating strong opponents like Brazil on the road to the quarterfinals. However, in the battle held in the hot weather of Miami, small details and technological decisions put an end to the Scandinavians' semi-final dreams.
Now, Haaland is forced to focus all his attention on his club career.
