Former Russian footballer Sergey Kirjakov expressed his opinion about the new head coach of Moscow CSKA, Fabio Chelestini. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, CSKA constantly conducts various experiments and often prefers foreign specialists. Kirjakov stated that currently, CSKA does not trust Russian coaches much.
Chelestini was appointed as the head coach of CSKA last Friday. He previously led Switzerland's Basel team to the championship.
At the end of the last season, CSKA finished third in the Russian Premier League and won the Russian Cup. Until now, the club was managed by Serbian coach Marko Nikolich.
In Kirjakov's opinion, the results of the policy being pursued with the new head coach of CSKA will be shown by time. The most important thing for the club is stability and providing opportunities for local specialists as well.
Additionally, hard work and proper management are required for the team's rise. At the same time, Chelestini will try to prove that his previous achievements align with the team's goals.
CSKA fans are expecting significant victories from the new coach and are hoping for the team to rise to a higher level again.
