Italian champion Napoli has signed a new contract with goalkeeper Alex Meret. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the club's official announcement, the new deal covers the next two seasons. Meret is 28 years old and has won the Scudetto trophy twice with the Napoli team and achieved victory in the Coppa Italia. Additionally, Alex Meret holds the title of European champion with the Italian national team. Last season, under the leadership of Antonio Conte, Meret played a total of 35 matches in all competitions for the champion Napoli.
It is noted that he conceded only 25 goals in those matches and kept a clean sheet in 18 games. Alex Meret has been with Napoli since 2019.
