Barcelona club has made significant efforts to refinance part of the debt related to the Espai Barça project. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to official information, the club issued bonds worth 424 million euros, restructuring more than 40 percent of the debt that is due to be paid in 2028. Now the payment schedule has changed significantly: payments will only start from 2033, and the final payment will be made in 2050.
The average interest rate of the new debt structure is 5.19 percent. This financial operation was carried out with the assistance of the investment company Goldman Sachs. The Barcelona club stated that the new financing model allows for payments to begin after the reconstruction of the "Camp Nou" stadium is completed, without tying up the club's current resources.
Revenues from the new stadium and related infrastructure will serve as the main source in this process. It is estimated that approximately 247 million euros in revenue is expected annually. The Espai Barça project includes a complete renovation of the "Camp Nou" stadium, the construction of new buildings, and extensive modernization of the surrounding areas.
This project is of great importance for the club's future development, aimed not only at improving the stadium but also the surrounding areas. These efforts will serve to enhance the Barcelona club's potential in both sports and business.
