The future of Zenit midfielder Wendell has become a topic of active discussion again. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the latest information, the general director of the St. Petersburg club, Alexander Medvedev, is negotiating with the president of the Turkish club regarding the purchase of the Brazilian player. Sources report that the agreement is being considered based on the terms of a deal that did not materialize at the end of the previous season for Wendell's transfer to Brazil's Botafogo club.
At that time, the transfer was not finalized due to organizational reasons, even though the parties had agreed on the terms. Currently, negotiations with Fenerbahce are only in the initial stages, and no specific agreements are in place yet.
In the 2024/25 season, Wendell played 27 matches for Zenit, scoring 2 goals and providing 13 assists. Therefore, decisions regarding his stay in the team or transfer to a new club are expected to be clarified in the near future.
Updates on the player's career and transfer processes will be monitored.
