Former CSKA football player from Tashkent, Mario Fernandes, shared his thoughts on the possibility of returning to Russia. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It was previously announced that the 34-year-old player had passed a trial with the "Torpedo" team. Fernandes mentioned that he had not found much time and opportunity in Moscow.
At the same time, he expressed his deep love for Russia. He stated that he does not know exactly when he will return, but perhaps one day he might.
These thoughts were cited by the publication "Chempionat." In the Russian Premier League, Fernandes played for the CSKA team from 2012 to 2022, and in the 2023-2024 seasons, he played for "Zenit." He also represented the Russian national team, appearing in a total of 33 matches.
Mario Fernandes is considered one of the players who has gained significant experience not only at the club level but also in the national team. His warm attitude towards Russia and passion for football continue to this day.
This does not diminish his chances of continuing his career in Russia in the future. Currently, he is exploring new opportunities, and time will show what decision he will make in the future.
