Myenti Abena, the central defender of the Spartak team, may leave the club during the summer transfer window. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Journalist Ali Budak reported on this matter. According to sources, the 30-year-old player is on the verge of transferring to Turkey's Gaziantep club.
The parties are currently in the final stages of negotiations, after which Abena will need to undergo a medical examination to finalize the transfer. Abena signed a two-year contract with Spartak last summer. The Surinamese player has played a total of 12 matches in the Russian Premier League and Cup competitions, but has yet to score a goal or provide an assist.
According to Transfermarkt, Abena's market value is estimated at 700 thousand euros. Currently, negotiations with Gaziantep are progressing positively. If an agreement is reached, Abena will try to find his place in his new team.
The transfer of the player is expected to open new opportunities for both the club and the player. At the same time, the Spartak team is also considering other options to strengthen their defense.
