The Russian Football Union (RFU) issued a statement regarding the draw ceremony for the Russian Cup. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Previously, Moscow's Dynamo club expressed doubts about the integrity of the process, as the event was not broadcast live and representatives of the clubs did not participate. According to the RFU, the entire process was conducted at the "Match TV" studio and lasted approximately two hours, as the draw covered not only the main stages but also the regional pathways. The live broadcast was not carried out under contract, which was explained by the length of time involved.
It was noted that employees of "Match TV" and the RFU, former players, and many technical specialists participated in the process. In its statement, the RFU expressed that the allegations of possible manipulations during this draw process are considered insulting and illogical. It was also emphasized that the draw rules do not require the mandatory participation of club representatives. At the same time, the RFU stated that it adhered to the principles of integrity and transparency, and all procedures were conducted in accordance with laws and regulations.
All possibilities are being explored to strengthen trust among clubs and fans. Ensuring the fair conduct of the Russian Cup competition is considered a primary task.
