Zenit team head coach Sergey Semak expressed his thoughts on strengthening the squad. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the specialist, the main transfer goal for the St. Petersburg club is to reinforce the center of the field. Semak stated that there is a strong desire to acquire a new player for the central midfield due to the departure of Klaudinho and the potential exit of Wendel from the squad. At the same time, Semak emphasized that Zenit is also ready to strengthen other positions if the opportunity arises to purchase stronger players from the existing squad.
Efforts will be made to raise the overall level of the team. Recently, Zenit defeated the Crvena Zvezda team 3:0 in a friendly match. There are less than three weeks left until the start of the new Russian championship.
During this time, the club is preparing to make new transfers. To further strengthen the squad, the coaches and management are utilizing all available options.
Zenit fans are looking forward to the team's successful performances in the new season.
