Five players from Aston Villa have left after their contracts expired. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club's official website announced this. 35-year-old Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olsen, who played four matches in the league during one season, will return to his home country — Malmo club as a free agent. He had been playing for Aston Villa since 2019. 29-year-old central defender, English player Courtney House also joined the club at the same time as Olsen and will now become a free agent.
He has not played in official matches for the last two years due to serious knee problems. Three more players from the team — loaned Marco Asensio (PSG), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), and Axel Disasi (Chelsea) have also left the club. Their loan periods have ended.
These changes may affect Aston Villa's squad for the next season.
