Former midfielder Vladimir Bystrov criticized Marseille's Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Unay for rejecting a transfer to Moscow Spartak. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The player rejected the "red-white" offer, stating that the most important thing for him is the opportunity to play in European cups. Bystrov said on the YouTube channel "O, Rodnoy Futbol!": "If he doesn't want to play, there's no need to stay here.
If he says he doesn't want to go to Russia or another club, then let him go. I don't pay attention to such people immediately." In the 2024/2025 season, Unay played in 37 matches, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
Unay's contract with Marseille is set to last until June 30, 2027. His market value is ten million euros.
In the Moroccan national team, Unay reached the semi-finals of the World Cup held in Qatar in 2022.
