Niko Williams, the forward of the Bilbao "Athletic" team, has signed a new employment contract with the club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This was announced by the Basque press service. The new agreement is set to last until 2035, meaning it is planned for 10 years.
The buyout clause specified in the previous contract of 58 million euros has been increased by more than 50 percent. It is noted that now "Barcelona" will have to pay approximately 96 million euros for Williams, as the Catalans missed the opportunity to buy the player at the old price.
In the 2024/25 season, the player appeared in 45 matches across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists. Williams' new contract is of great significance for the club and plays an important role in plans related to his future.
The club aims to enhance the player's competitiveness and add extra strength to the team. At the same time, the increase in the buyout clause serves to further strengthen his value.
