UEFA financially penalizes Barcelona and Chelsea

UEFA has announced penalties for clubs that violated financial fairness principles. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

An agreement has been reached with each club, and their situations have been regulated. The largest fine was imposed on Chelsea, amounting to 80 million euros.

The London club will pay 20 million euros in full, while the remaining 60 million euros will be considered a conditional fine. For the next four years, Chelsea will be under UEFA supervision.

Barcelona was fined 60 million euros, of which 15 million euros is definite and 45 million euros is conditional. The supervision period for this club is set for two years.

Lyon will be under supervision for four years with a fine of 12.5 million euros and a conditional fine of 37.5 million euros. Aston Villa received a fine of 5 million euros and a conditional fine of 15 million euros, with a supervision period of three years.

For Hajduk, a fine of 0.3 million euros and a conditional fine of 0.9 million euros were set, with a supervision period also lasting three years. The purpose of these penalties is to ensure financial discipline and regulate the financial activities of football clubs.

Through this, UEFA aims to maintain fair competition in the football sector. Therefore, clubs that violate financial regulations will be strictly monitored and penalized based on the established fines.
