Microsoft has restricted certain Chinese companies' access to its cybersecurity warning system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made following large-scale hacker attacks on the company's servers. Experts have expressed suspicions that the Chinese government might be behind these attacks.
Microsoft usually informs its global partners in advance about threats and urges them to take protective measures. However, according to security specialists, information obtained through Chinese companies may have fallen into the hands of hackers and been used for malicious purposes.
The company notified its partners about security issues in June and July, but attacks began during that period. Therefore, Microsoft announced that it will no longer provide certain Chinese firms with special codes sent to detect risks.
These codes helped specialists strengthen the system more quickly, but if they fall into the hands of hackers, attacks could intensify. For this reason, the company took such a measure to enhance security.
