In recent years, Intel has been facing serious problems. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Initially known as the world's most powerful chip manufacturer, Intel is now lagging behind its competitors — TSMC in Taiwan and Nvidia in the USA. The biggest problem is the lack of customers for producing new technologies.
At the same time, there are quality issues with the new generation chips produced by Intel. None of the manufactured products meet demand, which increases the company's expenses and reduces its profit opportunities.
As a result, Intel has been experiencing losses for several consecutive quarters. In such circumstances, the US government decided to assist the company.
President Donald Trump announced that approximately 9 billion dollars will be invested in Intel. In return, the government will acquire about a 10 percent stake in the company.
Although this funding is important for Intel, it cannot fully resolve the technical problems. According to experts, if Intel fails to successfully offer new technologies to customers, the government aid will not be effective.
The main issue is finding major customers and improving the quality of the chips. Thus, while Trump's decision provides Intel with temporary relief, it is unlikely to completely save the company.
The primary task is for the company to develop its own technologies and restore market confidence. Government funds can only assist in this path.
